SUMMER CAMPS
Interactive Performances (ages 4-17)
Performances are high-energy shows designed to bring massive fun and excitement to your camp. They are all about audience participation and making every camper feel like they are part of the action. Through beatboxing, singing, live vocal looping, and expert crowd interaction, I create unforgettable experiences that kids will talk about all summer.
Beatboxing Looping Covers: Watch as I recreate campers’ favorite songs live from scratch, using only my voice and a loop station. Every sound is layered in real-time.
Karaoke-Style Sing-Alongs: I take the fun into the crowd with wireless mics, inviting campers to sing along to their favorite song - karaoke style!
Interactive Beats: Campers become part of the show as I make beats with their vocal sound effects live, as seen on my YouTube series, "Making Beats with Strangers."
Dance Battles: Groups of campers hit the stage to show off their dance moves.
Color Wars Show: Take Color Wars to the next level! I’ll integrate my interactive beatboxing show into your color wars competition - teams who bring the most energy earn points.
Interactive Workshops (ages 4-17)
Workshops are a deeper dive into the art of beatboxing. Campers are taught a musical skill (beatboxing) that they’ve never tried before and share big laughs as they watch each other learn. Workshops are interactive & educational.
Beatbox Fundamentals: Campers will learn the step-by-step basics of beatboxing, from drum sounds to vocal scratches and crazy sound effects.
Group Beatbox Battles: Teams face off and showcasing what they learned in a beatbox battle.
Collaborative Beatbox Games: Campers work together as a team, showcasing their vocal and rhythmic abilities.
Learn How to Loop: Campers will create their own beats by layering their vocals on a live looping machine, - just like I do on stage!
Showcase What You’ve Learned: (Optional) Book workshops and performances together - select campers can showcase their new beatboxing and looping skills during the evening show in front of the entire camp.
Color Wars (ages 4-17)Color Wars Show: Take Color Wars to the next level! I’ll integrate my interactive beatboxing show into your color wars competition - teams who bring the most energy earn points.

“What Sung just created here was something so real and so authentic. This energy. Our entire camp just started an impromptu dance party! Hands were up in the air, fists were pumping, and kids were dancing. It was a night we will not forget just because Sung created the space and the opportunity for our kids to live, and enjoy their connection to one another here at Chestnut Lake Camp.”
Sam Roberts, Director of Staff

Sung understands that audience interaction is key to live entertainment, which is why he incorporates interactive elements into both his performances and workshops. Some interactive activities include teaching campers how to beatbox, creating the first impromptu beatbox/voice jam in your camp’s history, making music using the campers' voices, and even performing a custom track for your camp. Expect Sung to engage the crowd, bring volunteers on stage, and get everyone to dance/sing!
-
SungBeats has 20 years of live performance experience and has performed over 600+ shows, for crowds as small as 5 up to 10,000 people - young, old and everything in between. As an audience engagement specialist, Sung is an expert on commanding a crowd and knows how to hold their attention throughout the entirety of his shows and workshops.
-
Performances are all about high-energy entertainment, packed with fun and audience participation..
Workshops dive deeper into the learning and team-building aspects of beatboxing, giving campers a chance to develop new skills and collaborate.
For the best of both worlds, Sung often combines the two—campers can participate in day time workshops and showcase what they’ve learned in an evening performance for the entire camp!
-
No musical experience is needed! Sung’s workshops are specifically designed for non-musicians, making beatboxing fun and accessible for everyone. He takes pride in breaking ideas down in a way that’s easy to understand and super engaging for kids.
-
Sung has over 10 years of experience working with kids and tailors his program to suit different age groups and energy levels. For younger groups, he uses a kid-friendly communication style, simplifies beatboxing techniques, and selects age-appropriate songs. He’s also happy to divide shows by age groups—for example, 8–12 years old and 13–17 years old—to ensure the experience is engaging and suitable for everyone.

To put it simply, beatboxing is the art of musical expression using the human voice. Percussion, strings, trumpets, basses, synthesizers, and many other sounds can be replicated and artistically arranged to create real music. The art form, which gained popularity in the 1980s, is not necessarily confined to hip-hop or any single genre. Beatboxing is simply a tool or instrument for musical expression!
-
Live looping is the art of layering one’s voice to create full songs using a device called a loop station. Imagine a modern-day one-man band. Sung uses live looping to recreate campers' favorite songs, allowing them to sing along and get involved in the music. Live looping is a key feature in both his workshops and performances.
-
Sung’s technical requirements are simple and straightforward, similar to setting up a keyboard or guitar. He will either coordinate with the camp’s tech team to make the best use of available equipment in-house or bring his own sound system for shows in the tri-state region.
-
Both performances and workshops are usually 45 min to 60 min long, but length can be customized to your needs.
-
Sung loops his voice on a loopstation to recreate vocal renditions of songs that are clean and kid friendly. These are songs that kids will recognize and sing along to, including classics from Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, and many more.
-
Sung likes to wrap up his performances with a 10 minute, high-energy DJing set. The majority of the show, however, is an interactive beatbox looping show, not Djing.
-
10 - 300 kids (or more) can participate in performances, as long as the sound system is large enough to accommodate the size of the group.
For workshops, a smaller group is preferred (ideally less than 60) for a more focused, hands-on, educational session. However, Sung can also design workshops for larger groups as well upon request
